Description	:	Died-At St. Joseph's Sanitarium, Debuque, Iowa, on June 27, 1922, John Seward. He was born in Illinois April 27, 1850, moved to Wisconsin with his parents at the age of ten and later to CerroGordo county, Iowa. He was married to Margaret Welch, November 19, 1873, at Mason City, Iowa. To this union were born five children, of which three survive him. He moved with his family to Letcher, South Dakota, in 1884 where he lived until two years ago, his health having failed two years previous to that he was taken to St. Joseph's... Read More	Died-At St. Joseph's Sanitarium, Debuque, Iowa, on June 27, 1922, John Seward. He was born in Illinois April 27, 1850, moved to Wisconsin with his parents at the age of ten and later to CerroGordo county, Iowa. He was married to Margaret Welch, November 19, 1873, at Mason City, Iowa. To this union were born five children, of which three survive him. He moved with his family to Letcher, South Dakota, in 1884 where he lived until two years ago, his health having failed two years previous to that he was taken to St. Joseph's Sanitatium where death came as a release from long suffering. His remains were brought back to Letcher and laid to rest in St. Scholastica's cemetery beside that of his wife, who preceded him four months and his son, Edward, who died four years ago. The funeral was held July 1, 1922, at the Catholic church of which he was a life time member. He leaves to mourn his loss his two daughters, Mrs. O.J. Murphy of Vivian, SD and Mrs. E.T.
