Read More	LeMars Semi-Weekly Sentinel (LeMars, Iowa) August 24, 1934 Fatally Hurt When Pinned Under Truck John Allison, Well Known Former Le Mars Resident, Trapped in Flames Expires In a Few Hours Body Of Victim Will Be Brought Here For Burial Mr. and Mrs. John Allison, residing at 834 First Avenue SE, were notified Wednesday of a fatal accident which befell their son, John J. Allison, of Winnebago, Minn. John Allison suffered burns and other injuries when a truck he was driving overturned and caught fire. Mr. Allison was engaged in trucking at Winnebago. According to meager details of the accident obtained by the family, he was engaged Wednesday in hauling a load of flour. He was alone at the time the truck overturned and was pinned underneath. He was alive when rescued from the wreckage, He was conveyed to a hospital in Winnebago where he died in a few hours. His father, John Allison, brother, Artur Allison, and a sister, Mrs. Henry Remer, and Wm. Hodgson left immediately for Winnebago on receipt of the news. Will Bring Body Here A short service was held at Winnebago Friday afternoon and funeral services will be held at the Beely chapel here at 3:30 Saturday afternoon. Born in Le Mars John J. Allison was 45 years of age. He was born December 16, 1888, on a farm east of Le Mars and passed his youth in this vicinity. When a young man he was married to Miss Blanche Bogenrief, who preceded him in death some years ago. He leaves two daughters, Ola and Ferne Allison, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Allison, and his brothers and sisters, who are Arthur Allison, Oscar Allison, Mrs. Henry Remer, Mrs. Wm. Hodgson and Mrs. George E. Bowers. Mr. Allison went to Winnebago fourteen years ago and lived there since with the exception of a few years when he came back to Le Mars for a short time. All his brothers and sisters live in this vicinity except Oscar Allison, who is out west.
