The remains may be viewed at the Devaney Funeral Home after 8:00 o'clock this (Thursday) evening. John Kedley was born January 2, 1887 at Baldwin, Iowa. He was the son of the late Peter and Margaret Kedley. On June 14, 1910, he was united in marriage with Miss Elizabeth Curtis at St. Patrick's Church, North Garryowen, by the Rev. Fr. Edward Slattery. Mr. and Mrs. Kedley took up residence on a farm west of Monmouth until 1914 when they removed to a farm two miles southeast of Cascade which has been their home continuously since that time. Mr. Kedley is survived by his wife and eight children, as follows Paul of Peosta, Mrs. Nick (Melba) Bertling, Dubuque, Donald and Curtis, Mrs. Marcellus (Carmelita) Westemeier, Mrs. Arnold (Iona) Beringer, Mrs. William (Imelda) Beringer, and Orland, all of Cascade. Preceding him in death were two sons. He is also survived by the following five brothers James, Monmouth, Harry, DeWitt, Peter, Cascade, Charles, Independence, Edward of Zwingle.
