Description	:	CASCADE, Iowa - Orland F. Kedley, 80, of Cascade, died Thursday, June 24, 2004, at Shady Rest Care Center, Cascade. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Martin's Catholic Church, Cascade, with the Rev. Daniel Krapfl officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cascade. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Reiff Funeral Home, Cascade, where there will be a wake service at 4 p.m. He was born on Oct. 16, 1923, in Cascade, son of John and Elizabeth (Curtis) Kedley. He married Edith Bell on Oct. 4, 1952, in Dyersville. He received his education at the former St. Martin's School, Cascade. He farmed on the family farm in rural Cascade, where he was born and raised. Orland was 100 percent Irish. He loved to visit and tell stories. He also loved talking about farming. He had a great sense of humor, and an amazing memory of dates and events. He enjoyed listening to country music and going to auctions. He will be deeply missed by his family. Surviving are Edith Kedley; a son, Tom Kedley, of Dubuque; five daughters, Margie Kedley, Judy (Dean) Boge, Beverly Kedley, Doris Kedley and Joan (Dean) Fingerson, all of Dubuque; three grandchildren, Matt, Anna and Jordan Boge; two sisters, Ione Beringer and Imelda (Bill) Beringer, both of Cascade; and a sister-in-law, Hilda Kedley, of Dubuque. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Paul, Leonard, Donald, Curtis and Orville; and two sisters, Carmelita Westemeir and Melba Bertling.
