Description	:	JOHN MARSHALL - Sunday - April 5, 1992 BELLINGHAM _ Former Manson area resident John Marshall, 65, of Bellingham, died Thursday, April 2, 1992, at home, following a long illness. He was born August 26, 1926, to Wendell and Zeila Marshall, at Addy, and was raised and educated in the Manson area. Mr. Marshall served in the U.S. Navy. Read More	JOHN MARSHALL - Sunday - April 5, 1992 BELLINGHAM _ Former Manson area resident John Marshall, 65, of Bellingham, died Thursday, April 2, 1992, at home, following a long illness. He was born August 26, 1926, to Wendell and Zeila Marshall, at Addy, and was raised and educated in the Manson area. Mr. Marshall served in the U.S. Navy. He worked as an engineering assistant for the Lake Chelan Soil Conservation District, was a miner at Holden and owned his own orchard in the Manson area prior to college. He graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in chemical engineering in 1958. He worked for a brief time as a chemical engineer at Missouri, then returned to Washington, where he had lived since. He worked for Georgia-Pacific at Bellingham for 27 years, and retired in 1988. While at Georgia-Pacific, he was pulp production manager and general superintendent. He was also responsible for the purchase and operation of a chipping plant at Canada and the land purchase and construction of another plant that provided a lasting wood source of pulp for the Bellingham mill. Survivors include his wife, Joyce, at home; three sons, John S. Marshall of Bellingham and Arthur and Richard Marshall of Seattle; a foster son, Michael Marshall of Seattle; three daughters, Vanessa Sockolov of London, England, Georgia Garcia of Ferndale and Caroline Yorkston of Bellingham; three stepchildren Melissa Williams of Redmond and Kim Gates and Rebecca Veroske of Everson; two brothers, Robert Marshall of San Jose, Calif., and Donald Marshall of Chelan; a sister, Phyllis McNulty of Cashmere; and 10 grandchildren. Arrangements are by Jerns-McKinney Funeral Chapel at Bellingham.
