Description	:	Jack Buesch died in a traffic accident Nov. 6, 2006. He was born to Ed and Sara (Hubbard) Buesch June 2, 1922 in Burlington, Iowa. After graduating high school, he entered the University of Iowa. He received a Navy lieutenant commission and then attended Dartmouth College. After discharge he returned to the University of Iowa where he earned his BA in business. In 1944 he married Celestine Paule who preceded him in death in 1984. He worked in management positions at the Emporium in St. Paul, Minn., and moved to Tacoma in 1963 where he continued in management... Read More	Jack Buesch died in a traffic accident Nov. 6, 2006. He was born to Ed and Sara (Hubbard) Buesch June 2, 1922 in Burlington, Iowa. After graduating high school, he entered the University of Iowa. He received a Navy lieutenant commission and then attended Dartmouth College. After discharge he returned to the University of Iowa where he earned his BA in business. In 1944 he married Celestine Paule who preceded him in death in 1984. He worked in management positions at the Emporium in St. Paul, Minn., and moved to Tacoma in 1963 where he continued in management at Rhodes. He opened his own store called Country Casuals in 1965 in Bremerton, another in Lacey in 1966, Westgate in Tacoma in 1971, and one in Port Orchard in 1976 and purchased “My Ladies" in Bremerton. He moved to Bremerton in 1975 and built his home in Illahee. By 1985 he closed all stores except Country Casuals on Perry Avenue. He married Jeanne Heckel in 1988, retired in 1989 and closed the store. He kept busy for eight years operating a four-bay self-serve car wash which he had built in the new car center. He was a Christian man of great character and many virtues, generous with his time and energy spent in volunteer activities which included Harrison Medical Center Foundation Board, Bremerton Symphony Association Board, YMCA Board, Boy Scouts of America, on the Gift Fund Committee at Central Kitsap Presbyterian Church and many community activities. He was a Rotarian for 30 years and was named Rotarian of the year in 1983 and 1994. His greatest happiness was in having his family gather joyfully around him. His life was well lived and he leaves a legacy of joy, pride and love. Full obituary, Kitsap Sun, Nov. 20, 2006.
