Description	:	John M. Keller, 56, Bismarck, died, Nov. 12, 2010, at his home, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 17, at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Bismarck, with the Rev. John Guthrie officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Bismarck. Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday with a vigil service beginning at 7 p.m. at Perry Funeral Home, Mandan. Visitation continues one hour prior to the service at the church. John Milton Keller was born Jan. 25, 1954, in Bismarck, to Milton and Josie (Wolbaum) Keller. He was raised and educated in Braddock, North Dakota–graduating from Braddock High School in 1972. He attended University of Mary College where he received his B.S. degree in social work. Following graduation he worked at the Senior Center before working for Frito Lay Snacks and most recently for Dakota Dust Tex in route sales. On Oct. 20, 2005, he married Kerry Gullickson in Bismarck. They renewed their vows on July 3, 2010, at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Bismarck. John was a loving husband, father, and grandfather to both his and Kerry's children and grandchildren. He loved working, and was always searching for another project to do whether at home or at work. He enjoyed spending time working in the yard and was always there to help family and friends. John was interested in history and liked taking last minute trips to historical places. He was also an avid Vikings and Twins fan. Anyone who met John remembered him for his warm smile. He always had a kind word and listened to anyone in need. He treated everyone with respect and was truly concerned about others, even during his fight against pancreatic cancer. He was a hero to his family, and those who knew him well understand why. John was a sensitive soul, who in the past several years raised money for the Great American Bike Race for Cerebral Palsy, a cause which was close to him. John had a kind and giving heart and will be missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Kerry, Bismarck; two daughters, Janelle Geyer-Keller and Jada (Matt) Barrett, both of Mandan; five sons, Jamie, Moses Bull Bear, Jared John (Ali Race), Austin and Luke, all of Bismarck; nine grandchildren, Gabrielle Geyer, Sydney Keller, Jackson Keller, Trae-Jae John Keller, Claire Barrett and Adrianna Barrett, and the most recent additions to the family, Jasmine, Holly, and Will Race; his parents, Milton and Josie (Wolbaum) Keller, Bismarck; three brothers, Jerry (Candi), Jim (Nancy), and Milton, all of Bismarck; nine sisters, Mary Jo Mastel, Hazelton, Debra (Harlan) Patterson, Mandan, Janice (Tim) Kubik, Steele, Alvina (Mark) Reichert, Bismarck, Pauline (Murray) Strom, Steele, Arleen (Tony) Fettig, Braddock, Josie (Dean) Glatt, Bismarck, Harrietta (Jim) Kalberer, Detroit Lakes, Minn., and Barbara (Brent) Stroh, Tappen; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and Kerry's brothers, sisters, and extended family. John was preceded in death by his grandparents; an infant sister; brother-in-law, Mike Mastel; and Kerry's parents.
