He lived in Macon and Shelby counties until in 1936 when he removed to Paris and established himself in business.--On Dec. 17, 1902 he was married to Miss Hattie Griswold of Callao and to them was born a daughter, Mrs. Foster Rigsby of Clarence. His wife preceded him on May 12, 1931 and on Sept. 20, 1934 he married Mrs. Fostelle Upton of Anabel who survives with his daughter. A brother, Velpo Cox of Macon, also survives together with a niece, three nephews and other relatives. Three brothers preceded him.--Last rites were held Monday afternoon from Speed and Blakey funeral chapel at Paris followed by commitment services held at Maplewood cemetery at Clarence. Casket bearers were three nephews and three cousins.
