Description	:	John M. Snyder, 59 of Muscatine, passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2011 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Casket bearers will be John Snyder, Jr, Gary Snyder, Walter Snyder, Robert Snyder, Larry Snyder, Butch Brotherton, Jim Garrison and Steve Curry. Honorary casket bearers will be Denny Wilson, Dick Wilson and Mark Babbitt. Burial will be in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com. John Marlin Snyder was born on July 8, 1952 in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Sam and Minnie (Hathaway) Snyder. John had been employed at Curry Transportation. John was an avid Cubs fan and also enjoyed fishing, golfing, shooting trap and spending time with his grandchildren. John will be deeply missed by his son, John Snyder, Jr. and wife Shelly of Fruitland; three grandchildren, RayAnn, Jadyn and Drake; and siblings, Sharon Hunt and husband, Crayton of Muscatine, Larry Snyder and wife, Sally of Blue Grass, Mary Bragg of Muscatine, Gary Snyder and wife, Doris of Fruitland, Robert Snyder and wife, Cindy of Des Moines, Gayle Davis of Mt. Pleasant, Kathy Snyder of Missouri and Walter Snyder and wife, Rita of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Margaret Snyder in infancy, Richard Snyder, Marianne Farrar, Don Snyder, Melvin Snyder and Janet Mariet.
