Uncle John Keller was a kindly old man, who was a friend to everybody and everybody was his friend. He was an industrious, hardworking man all his life, and while it was not his fortune to accumulate much of this world's goods, he leaves a heritage for his children of having been an upright, industrious, honest man, and a good citizen. He moved with his family to Eastern Nebraska in 1881 soon after his mother's death, where he engaged in farming until 1892, when he removed to Custer County, taking up farming again, which he followed until a few years ago, retiring on account of advancing years."
