Description	:	"Mr. John Olson was born on the 28th day of March 1829, in Krykhult socken, Blekinge, Sweden, and where he grew up to manhood being married to Miss Elna Person in 1850. To this union was born five children. The family immigrated to America in 1869, locating first at Woodhull, Illinois, where his wife died in 1872. In 1873 the family moved to Chariton , Iowa. In 1874, Mr. Olson married Mrs. Ellen Johnson, a widow with five children. To this union was born one son, Frank Olson, now of Bloomfield, Nebraska. Mr. and Mrs. Olson moved to Wausa,... Read More	"Mr. John Olson was born on the 28th day of March 1829, in Krykhult socken, Blekinge, Sweden, and where he grew up to manhood being married to Miss Elna Person in 1850. To this union was born five children. The family immigrated to America in 1869, locating first at Woodhull, Illinois, where his wife died in 1872. In 1873 the family moved to Chariton , Iowa. In 1874, Mr. Olson married Mrs. Ellen Johnson, a widow with five children. To this union was born one son, Frank Olson, now of Bloomfield, Nebraska. Mr. and Mrs. Olson moved to Wausa, Nebraska in 1898, and where Mrs. Olson died some years ago. They joined the local Lutheran church upon their arrival here and of which he was a member at the time of his death. Since the death of Mrs. Olson he has made his home with his son Frank, until his moving out of this community last spring, after which time he has been at the home of Henry Olson. For a number of years he has not been very strong, but seemingly in good health until about two weeks ago, when it was plainly evident that his life's spark was slowly dyeing and that it would only be a question of a short while until the end would come. Even tho he lived to such a ripe old age, his mental faculties remained clear, and tho his sight became dimmed, he was able to read long passages of the scriptures from memory. His death occurred on Thursday, November 2nd, 1922, and was at the time of his death 93 years, 7 months and 4 days old. He leaves to mourn six children, five step children, a large number of grandchildren and great grandchildren, besides other relatives and friends.
