Description	:	John P. Dykstra, son of Peter and Gertrude (Prues) Dykstra was born Apr. 18, 1901 near Marion, SD On Feb. 28, 1929 he was united in marriage to Minnie Waltzen. They farmed in Monroe and Humboldt communities until 1955 when they moved to Monroe, SD where he was employed by Monroe Community School and Sandham Memorial Church. He retired in 1966. Preceding him in death were his parents, and one brother, George, of Marion, SD.
