WILLIBY PASSES AWAY Many friends here, where the family formerly resided, will learn with sorrow of the death of Mr. John P. Williby, which occurred in Chicago, on Sunday, July 30, 1911. He had been in failing health for some time and his death was not unexpected. He is survived by his wife and by three daughters and two sons, Mrs. Nettie Chaffee, of Big Fork, Ark.; Mrs. Mattie Crowley, of Chicago; Mrs. Leta Hedrick, of Los Angeles, Cal.; Perry R. Williby, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and A. C. Williby, of Omaha. He had been a member of the M. E. church of this city for many years, and had lived a consistent Christian life. He was a man of a quiet unassuming nature, of a genial disposition, and was highly regarded by all who knew him. The bereaved wife and children will have the sincere sympathy of a host of Chariton friends. Deceased was born in Allegheny county, Pa., on Feb. 18, 1829, and had attained the age of 82 years, 5 months and 12 days. The remains were brought to Chariton on Tuesday evening and taken to Frogatt's undertaking parlor, where funeral services were held on Wednesday morning at nine o'clock, conducted by Rev. W. G. Hohanshelt, of the M. E. church under the auspices of the Grand Army of the Republic, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Brownlee cemetery in English township.
