John Philip Wohlgemuth was born September 28, 1931 to Oscar and Esther (Kunz) Wohlgemuth on the family farm north of Milford. John was united in marriage to Twila Rae Wert on June 17, 1961 at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Hampton, Nebraska; to this union, four children were born. Twila passed away in 1989. He was baptized into the Christian faith at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Milford Nebraska and was a Member at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church near Milford. He was baptized into the Christian faith at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Milford Nebraska and was a Member at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church near Milford. John had two professions in life. He was a meat cutter with Del Gould Meats in Lincoln and then worked for many years with AGP Grain Elevator which he retired from in 1999. John loved the outdoors, hunting and especially fishing; he was an avid baseball fan, cheering on his beloved New York Yankees. He also loved to ride around the countryside,farming from the road; but above all, he loved his family; he was a real family man of faith who would help anyone in their time of need. Survivors include his children, Philip (Ruth) Wohlgemuth of Lincoln, Emily, Elaine, John, Mike Pierson (wife Tiffany); Robert (Melody) Wohlgemuth of Alton, IA, Luke, Lindsey, Cole, Chelsea; Craig (Patsy) Wohlgemuth of Lincoln, Abigail, Sophie, Lily; Christine (Richard) Fauss of Louisburg, KS; sister, Ruth Loomis of Grand Island; Brother In-Law Clarence Blase of Hordville; Sister in Law, Joy Wert of Ord, and numerous nieces and nephews .He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Twila; parents, Oscar and Esther Wohlgemuth; and a sister, Betty Ann Wohlgemuth.
