On 21 April 1837 Joseph Heistand and Nathan Weaks were appointed administrators of the estate of George Radebach, Senior, late of Fairfield County, Ohio. The 1838 land partition of the estate of George Radebaugh, Sr. of Liberty Township lists widow Elizabeth and divides the land into eight equal parts for George Radabaugh (Fairfield), John Radabaugh (Fairfield), Jacob Radabaugh (Fairfield), David Radabaugh (Champaign County, Ohio, minor under the age of twenty one years), Mary & Jacob Culp (Fairfield), Susannah & Adam Conkle (Fairfield), Elizabeth & John Nelson (Delaware County, Ohio), and Sarah & William McQuality (residence unknown). Deeds captured in the probate case further identify Jacob Raudebaugh’s wife as Margaret and John H. Raudebaugh’s wife as Elizabeth. An abstract of the case indicates “one paper shows son, William and daughter, Anna Maria”. , Additionally, there is an Inquest of Lunacy for Elizabeth Radebaugh, widow of George Radebaugh senior deceased, where she is determined to be “a person whose mind has been so much impaired by age that she may be properly called an insane person.” She is appointed a guardian whose records include a 12 June 1844 payment for funeral expenses. The Sites-Sitz-Greenfield-Ewings Cemetery listings have gravestones for George Radabaugh, who died 10 April 1837 age 73 years 7 months 4 days, and for Elizabeth Radabaugh, who died 10 June 1844 about 84 years. On 3 November 1803, George Radebaugh of Lurgan Township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania bought land in Fairfield County, Ohio, and on 20 October 1809 yeoman George Radabaugh of Lurgan Township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, bought more land in Fairfield County, Ohio. So although George owns land in Fairfield County, Ohio, as early as 1803 he did not relocated there until after 1809 and appears to be residing in Lurgan Township, during that intervening time. Pennsylvania Septennial Census for 1786 shows George Radebaugh in Letterkenney Township, Franklin County, so it is presumed that most of his children are born in Franklin County. Census records for Franklin County, Pennsylvania, and Fairfield County, Ohio, are shown along with names from George’s estate records in Table B.
