He departed this life on Thursday, July 28, 2005 at the Good Samaritan Center in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 88 years. John served his country with the United States Army during World War II. John served with the 161st Field Artillery in the 35th Infantry Div. John was united in marriage to Trudi Workman on September 6, 1942 at Yuma, AZ. He departed this life on Thursday, July 28, 2005 at the Good Samaritan Center in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 88 years. John served his country with the United States Army during World War II. John served with the 161st Field Artillery in the 35th Infantry Div. John was united in marriage to Trudi Workman on September 6, 1942 at Yuma, AZ. This union was blessed with the birth of two daughters. In 1950, John began a 43 year career with Scully Estates of Superior, Nebraska retiring in December 31, 1993 as head agent. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister and his wife, Trudi on October 29, 1999. Survivors include his daughters Terresa J. Long of Middletown, CT., and Jewel Rene Magney of Nampa, ID., a sister Barb Biskup of Lincoln, Nebraska; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 30, 2005 at the Williams Funeral Home chapel in Superior, Nebraska. The Rev. Mark Diehl officiating. Burial with military honors were held in the Evergreen Cemetery in Superior. Williams Funeral Home of Superior, NE was in charge of the arrangements.
