His Dutch birth record has his name as Jan Roeland van Zee, but I guess the "e" in Roeland was omitted in later US records. Also, he married Jenneke Van Zee on Feb 4, 1892, although the obituary says 1894. I made a single file image of the obituary (combined two columns and the page heading) from the Pella Chronicle that I will upload now.
