He was born Oct. 3, 1907, in Carrolltown, Mo., to Edgar and Carrie Smith Jackson. He was the retired owner and operator of Jackson’s TV Service. Survivors: sons Larry of Oxnard, Calif., and Elvin Howk of Ottumwa; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles of Ottumwa Route 4; and a sister, Mildred Rhodes of Hastings, Neb. Masonic services: 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Chapel. Funeral services: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at his church, the Rev. Cecil Simonton officiating. Burial: Shaul Cemetery with military services by the American Legion. Pallbearers: Legionnaires. The casket will be taken from Johnson Funeral Chapel to the church at 11 a.m. Wednesday and closed as the service begins.
