Inman 1330 Estes street, a resident of Keokuk most of his life, died at 12:30 o'clock this noon at the home of his son, Leonard, 723 C street. He had been employed at the Keokuk Electro-Metals plant until he was suddenly stricken by a heart ailment about two months ago. Since then he had been a patient in the local hospitals and had been removed to his son's home only a few days ago. The body was removed to the Greaves MOrtuary where it will remain until time for funeral services, arrangements for which will be published with a more complete obituary on Thursday. _______________ From the Daily Gate City Newpaper clipping dated July 17, 1946 INMAN RITES WILL BE HELD SATURDAY Funeral services for John S. Inman, 65, of 1330 Estes street, who died here Wednesday noon after a two-month illness, will be held on Saturday morning at 9 o'clcok from St. Mary's Catholic church of which he was a member. Until time for the services, the body will remain at the Greaves Mortuary where the Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday. A son of Henry and Amanda Tate Inman, he was born on March 12, 1881, at Hamilton, Ill., where he spent his boyhood, coming to Keokuk as a young man when he was employed as a motorman by the old street car company. He was married here on Jan. 23, 1907, to Miss Kathryn Smith and they moved to Peoria, Ill., in 1914, returning to Keokuk in 1926. Survivors include hiw widow; one son, Leonard H. Inman of Keokuk; one daughter, Mrs. Agnes Reilly of Morton, Ill.; five grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Delia Lohman and Mrs. Ella Meyer, both of Peoria, besides a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives. On daughter, Lucille, died in infancy. JOHN S. INMAN Funeral services for John S. Inman were held this morning at 9 o'clock from St. Mary's church with the Rev. William B. Schmidt officiating. The pallbearers were John Helenthal, William Smith, William A. Dobbs, Earl Varner, Ted Inman and Charles Boston. Burial was made in the Catholic Cemetery Printed in Daily Gate City Newspaper July 20, 1946.
