Description	:	John V. Nicholson, 72, was found dead Friday afternoon at his home on Main Street in Nodaway where he lived alone. His death resulted form a heart attack. Durin the afternoon he carried a can of fuel oil into his home and a while later when Ralph Bryant, across the street in his store, noticed the door in the Nicholson home not closed, he went to investigate and found Mr. Nicholson's lifeless body. County Coroner Nolan of Corning was called. The body was brought to the Wolfe Funeral Home in Villisca where funeral services were held Sunday at 3 p.m., conducted by the Rev. L. H. Athey. The singing was by Mrs. Martin Taylor, accompanied by Mrs. J. L. Wheeler, and the pall bearers were Clarence Gile, Martin Taylor, Ten Taylor, Frank Johnson, Percy Reynolds, and Frank Ross. Interment was in Villisca Cemetery. Relatives from a distance to attend the funeral were Mrs. Oscar Fisher, Kenneth Fisher, Rippey, Iowa; Mrs. J. R. Manatt, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Fisher, Perry, Iowa; Mr. and MRs. Chas. Dickenson and son David, Omaha. John V. Nicholson was born January 1, 1979 in Jamaica, Iowa. He waas married September 13, 1918 to Cora J. McCoy of Villisca, who preceded him in death May 12, 1945. He was preceded in death also by his parents, and one brother. Surviving are three sisters, four brothers, 13 nieces and nephews, 11 great nieces and nephews, three step children, Mrs. Roy Bowman, Villisca, Ray McCoy, Nodaway, and L. G. McCoy, Cleveland, Ohio.
