He was 80 years old and lived with his daughter, Mrs Frank Hagenbauch. Mr Fritz was a native of Concord Twp. He moved to Urbana six years ago. He had been married twice; his first wife was Jane Gibbs who died a few years ago. He was married the second time to Mrs Artimisha Levi from whom he divorced a few months ago.... He was 80 years old and lived with his daughter, Mrs Frank Hagenbauch. Mr Fritz was a native of Concord Twp. He moved to Urbana six years ago. He had been married twice; his first wife was Jane Gibbs who died a few years ago. He was married the second time to Mrs Artimisha Levi from whom he divorced a few months ago. He leaves two sons, Frank and SH Fritz both of Urbana and a daughter, Mrs Hagenbauch. He was a member of the 134th regiment in the Civil War and belonged to WA Brand Post, GAR. The funeral was conducted in Concord Church with Rev Miller officiating. Burial was made in Concord Cemetery. June 11, 1914 A few days ago when the grave for John Fritz was dug at Concord Church Cemetery, the thigh and leg bones of an Indian were uncovered and thrown out. The skeleton lay north and south, while the two Fritz graves lay east and west. The other bones of the Indian remain in the earth between the graves of Mr Fritz and his wife. The bones are of great size, indicating a stature of seven feet at least.
