Description	:	John W. Tutty, son of Kirman and Matilda Tutty, was born November 9, 1878, in York County, Nebraska. He departed this life September 2, 1960, in the York General Hospital at the age of 81 years, 9 months and 24 days. He had been in the hospital only a few days. John was reared in York County, on a farm and later moved to a farm near Fairmont, where he was married to Edith Sweet. Tutty, son of Kirman and Matilda Tutty, was born November 9, 1878, in York County, Nebraska. He departed this life September 2, 1960, in the York General Hospital at the age of 81 years, 9 months and 24 days. He had been in the hospital only a few days. John was reared in York County, on a farm and later moved to a farm near Fairmont, where he was married to Edith Sweet. To this union were born four children, Leatha, now Mrs. Moore of Salt Lake City, Utah, Dorothy, now Mrs. Butnor of Parkville, Mo., Hubert of Ontario, Cal., and John of Lincoln. After the death of his wife Edith, Mr. Tutty was united in marriage to Miss Olletta Behrens of Ceresco. To this union were born two children, Shirley, Now Mrs. Don Moul of Fairmont, and Sharon, now Mrs. Ronald Krejci of Fairmont. John was a devoted husband and father. His main interest was his family. He is survived by his wife, Olletta; the six children; one brother, Dan Tutty of Tulsa, Okla.; nine grandchildren, Virginia Moore Neuman, Jackie Lynn Moore, Melvin Moore, and Gorden Moore, all of Salt Lake City, Utah; John Butner of Parkville, Mo., Roger, Kathy, Danny and Douglas Tutty of Lincoln; five great-grandchildren, Randy and Carla Neuman, Melinda and Mark Moore of Salt Lake City, Utah and John Douglas Tutty of Lincoln; several nieces and nephews and many friends. A sister, Mrs. Agnes Niehaus, and a granddaughter, Norma Ellen Moore, preceded him in death. Services were held at the Grace Methodist Church in Fairmont, Monday, September 5, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. George Seick officiating. Oliver Moul sang, "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Sometime We'll Understand," accompanied by Mrs. A. P. Stewart. Pallbearers were Oliver Kness, Harold Smith, Francis Schepers, Leslie Stephenson, Robert Stephenson and Francis McMahon Sr. Interment was in the Fairmont Cemetery.
