Description	:	John Washington Hickman died on 29 Dec 1929 at Crisfield, MD R.F.D., aged 89 yrs, 11 mos and 5 days. He was a native of Maryland, the son of Thomas Hickman and Polly Sterling, both of Maryland. He was a farmer. Mr. Hickman was laid to rest in Mariners Cemetery. C. B. Washington Hickman Died Last Sunday Washington Hickman, one of the oldest and most highly respected residents of lower Somerset county, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Marion Ross, in the Mariners neighborhood, at 12:30 last Sunday night. The deceased was 89 years old and had been in failing health for some time. He was one of the leading and most successful farmers in this section and had a host of friends who will be sorry to learn of his death. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lula Ross, with whom he made his home, and one son, Mr. Wilmer Hickman. Funeral services were held at Mariners M.P. Church, conducted by the pastor, Rev. I. S.
