John Wasson Jones, aged 45, a former Quarry man, died at his home near Luray at 8:05 Thursday night of chronic Bright's disease. He had been in failing health for several years. Mr. Jones was born in Howard county, Indiana, Aug. 21, 1865. When he was a child his parents came west and settled near Quarry in 1875. For the last fifteen years Mr. Jones has lived near Luray. Mr. Jones married Miss Ida M. Bungea, who survives him, in this city on Dec. 9, 1888. He is also survived by one son, Lewis, aged 10 year, three sisters and three brothers. The latter are E. J. Jones, of Des Moines; E. A. Jones, of Unionville, Mo.; M. H. Jones, of Genoa, Col.; Mrs. E. F. Eisberry, of Somers; Mrs. Rachel Ward, north of the city; and Mrs. Peter Peterson of Edgewater, Col. Mr. E. A. Jones, of Unionville, Mo., was with his brother when he died. Arrangements for the funeral will not be completed until all the relatives have been heard from.
