The cause of death was appendicitis, from which the deceased and undergone two operations. Welding was 22 years of age and a native of this community. November 21, 1919 JOHN WELDING The home of Mr. and Mrs. Conrad Welding of the west side was cast into deep sorrow when the Angel of death removed their eldest son on Sunday morning, November 16 at 5:45 o'clock. The young man had undergone an operation for appendicitis on Thursday, November 6, the operation was performed at the farm home by Dr. Newell of Omaha. All what medical aid could do and the kind administration of his loved one failed to save his life. John Welding was born on April 6, 1899 and was twenty years, seven months and ten days of age. He was reared in the catholic faith. He was an obedient son to his parents and kind to his brothers and sister, as well as all others with whom he came in contact. Being upright and homest with his associates made him many friends, who deeply mourn his untimely departure from this life. Besides his grief stricken parents, he is survived by three brothers and one sister; Joseph, Anton, William and Helen. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 9:30 o'clock at St. Mary's church, and interment was made in St. Michael's cemetery. The very large funeral procession showed the respect he held in the community. The Republican offers condolences to the bereaved family.
