Mr. Michaels was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Lucille (Sines) Michaels; one son, Larry Eugene Michaels and one daughter, Linda Sue Backhaus. (Geraldine) Michaels, Jr. and Jefferie (Connie) Michaels, all of Oakland; one daughter, Patricia Ann Michaels, Grantsville, MD; four brothers, Earl Michaels & Donald Michaels, both of Ohio, Samuel Michaels, Texas; Robert Michaels, Friendsville; one sister, Mae Sines, Oakland; two grandchildren, Tammy Tusing, James Michaels; three great-grandchildren, Kristopher Tusing, Zackary Tusing and AlecXander Michaels. Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 943 Second Avenue, Friendsville, on Monday, January 22, 2018, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Services will be conducted in the funeral home on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at 11:00 am with Pastor Dave Davis and Pastor Ruth Davis officiating. Interment will be in the Sand Spring Cemetery.
