Bill was born January 31, 1942, in Darke County to the late Alfred L. and Treva A. (Treon) Pierron. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Paul and Joe Pierron; nephews, Mike Pleiman and Tim Eilerman; and in-laws, Leo and Virginia Drees. Bill is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rosemarie A. "Rosie" (Drees) Pierron whom he married June 12, 1971; special family, Theresa and Ed Minnich of Versailles and Tori and Emmitt; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dick and Ruth Pierron of Versailles, Tom and Judy Pierron of Versailles, Larry and Cheryl Pierron of Versailles, and Marvin and Jane Pierron of Versailles; sisters-in-law, Mary Pierron of Osgood, Ohio, and Boots Pierron of Versailles; in-laws, Mary Jean and Neal Pleiman of Osgood and Richard and Karen Drees of Versailles; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill retired in 2004 from Clopay in Russia, Ohio, with 32 years of service. He also formerly worked at Marshal's Poultry Farm in Versailles, the Village of Versailles and Argosy in Versailles. He was a member of St. Denis Catholic Church in Versailles. Bill was the first manager for Bill Ahrens Softball Team in 1972; he played and managed softball until he was 48. Bill was an avid camper, loved playing cards and the joy of his life was Tori. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 24, at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles with Rev. Fr. Jim Duell officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Versailles. The family will receive friends on Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children-Cincinnati, Donor Development, 3229 Burnet Avenue, Cincinnati, OH 45229.
