John Junior Vitingle was born on Jan. 28, 1920, and passed away at the home of his parents in Tipton, Monday morning, Feb. 25th, 1924, at the age of four years and twenty-seven days. He was bed-ridden for about three weeks and must have suffered much at times, but he was patient and uncomplaining. Toward the last he had an unusual premonition for a child of his age that the end was at hand and said that he was going home to God. His father preceded him in death about two and a half years ago. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Daisy Laing, his step-father, Mr. Will Laing, two brothers, Ralph and Melvin Vitingle, one sister, Ruth Vitingle, two of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Niles of Rochester, and by four aunts and two uncles. Funeral services were conducted for him at the Will Laing home in Tipton on Thursday morning, Feb. 28 by Rev. C. M. Wallace, and the body was laid to rest in the west Cedar Bluff cemetery Card of Thanks: We wish to thank all of those who so kindly remembered and assisted us during the affliction and at the death of our son and brother, John Junior Vitingle. Mr. and Mrs. Will Laing and Children.
