Description	:	Johnson D. Honn was born in Mt. Vernon, Ohio, December 5, 1821, and died in Fairmont, Nebraska, March 20, 1902; aged 80 years, 3 months and 15 days. After the death of his parents, Mr. Honn went to Madison, Wisconsin, and from there to Council Bluffs, Iowa, where in 1852, he embarked in the drug business and remained there in said business for a period of 20 years. Vernon, Ohio, December 5, 1821, and died in Fairmont, Nebraska, March 20, 1902; aged 80 years, 3 months and 15 days. After the death of his parents, Mr. Honn went to Madison, Wisconsin, and from there to Council Bluffs, Iowa, where in 1852, he embarked in the drug business and remained there in said business for a period of 20 years. May 5, 1859, he was married to Sarah Shamp of Fairfield, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Honn made their home in Council Bluffs until 1882, when they came to Fairmont, Nebraska where Mr. Honn engaged in the shoe business until the time of his being taken sic, October, 1896. Since then, he has practically been confined to his home, and much of the time to his bedroom. When 19 years of age he united with the M.E. church and was for many years an active worker in the church. Although not so active of late years, he maintained his faith in Christ and the Bible, being, we are told particularly jealous of the observance of the Sabbath. The funeral was held from the home on Sunday afternoon at four o'clock; Rev. C.H. Beaver officiating. The attendance of friends for tribute to the deceased was held and general sympathy for the family.
