He was married to Miss Mary Netrosk in the year of 1851. He was married to Miss Mary Netrosk in the year of 1851. Eleven years after their marriage they came to the United States and after spending a few years in Ohio and other places, moved to Tama county where he lived at the time of his death. James, Joseph and Charley, and Mesdames Wm Loffler and Barbara Zeaman, of Chelsea, Mrs. Mary Blodgett, of Elberon, Mr. Rudolph Upah, of Vining, and Mr. Frank Upah, of Omaha. A son and daughter, after living to manhood and womanhood passed on to the great beyond. Mr. Upah was a fine man, and a good neighbor and as such he will be missed by many. He was buried from the Catholic church Wednesday morning by Father Colash, of Clutier. His wife, who survives him, is in very poor health and lives on the old homestead with her youngest son, Charles. Thus, another old settler has gone to his reward.
