The remains were brought to the home of Ordaine Arnett and funeral services were held at the Church of the Brethren at Tunker, yesterday afternoon and burial was made in the Eberhand Cemetery. Mr. Arnett had spent the winter with his 2 sons at Battle Creek and had been in declining health for sometime, following an attack of grip. Thursday evening he was stricken with paralysis and death relived him at 1 o'clock Monday morning. The deceased lived in Cleveland Township many years, coming to Whitley Co. from Drake County, Ohio, when a boy. He was married to Anna Holler, March 4, 1878, who died 9 years ago. Four of eight sons born to them survived: John and Harley of Battle Creek, David of Fort Wayne, and Ordaine of Cleveland Township. The two later went to Battle Creek Saturday and were with the father when he passed away. One brother, Harvey Arnett, and two sisters, Mrs. John Sherbahm and Mrs. Lewis Mishler, all of Cleveland Township, also survive. His age at death was 71 years, 6 months, and nine days. He was a life-long member of the Church of Brethren, and a highly respected citizen. The remains were brought overland from Battle Creek by Miller & Pook, local undertakers, Tuesday.
