He was born in Newark, Ohio and was married to Rheba Pauline (Hamby) McNamara for 62 years. He was a graduate of Stivers High School and served on PT Boat 375 during WWII. He continued to serve in the Naval Reserves for 30 years. Joseph was a retired Tool & Die Maker with NCR with 37 years of service, also retired after 10 additional years from General Motors. (Fontaine) of Chapin, SC, James B. (Gloria) of Centerville; grandchildren, Adam (Jerri), Jackie (Shawn), Katie (Casey), Brett (Sally) and Bart(Jolene), Jamie, great-granddaughters, Olivia, Bryson, Coralyn, and great-grandson Cavan. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Cascade unit at Bethany Lutheran Village for their outstanding care of Joe over the past years. The family will hold a private graveside service.
