The funeral services were held at St. Michael's Church at 8:30 o'clock Monday morning. Interment in St. Michael's cemetery. At the age of 16 years he came to America with his parents and one sister. They landed at Galveston, Texas, where they lived for two years, his father dying there. Then he and his mother and sister came to Cincinnati, where they lived for several years. In 1852 he united in marriage with his Miss Louisa Aurora Salin, who departed this life in 1905. To them were born 12 children, 5 sons and 7 daughters, three of whom died in infancy and one daughter, Mrs. A. Tonne, died nine years ago. He leaves three son and five daughters, forty-seven grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren to mourn their loss. The deceased has been blind for nearly nine years, but was always patient and resigned in his afflictions and never complained. -------------------------
