Description	:	Joseph H. Kamler, son of Herman and Amelia (Harwig) Kamler, was born December 29, 1888, near Shickley. He lived in that community most of his life, retiring and moving to Geneva in May 1953. He was united in marriage to Hattie Volkmer April 12, 1921. To this union were born four children, two sons and two daughters. He passed away Saturday, June 27, 1959, at the York General Hospital at the age of 70 years, 5 months and 28 days. Kamler, son of Herman and Amelia (Harwig) Kamler, was born December 29, 1888, near Shickley. He lived in that community most of his life, retiring and moving to Geneva in May 1953. He was united in marriage to Hattie Volkmer April 12, 1921. To this union were born four children, two sons and two daughters. He passed away Saturday, June 27, 1959, at the York General Hospital at the age of 70 years, 5 months and 28 days. He had been hospitalized for injuries received the previous week in a fall while assisting his sons in putting up hay at a farm near Shickley. He is survived by his wife, Hattie; two sons, Linus and Cletus of near Shickley; two daughters, Mrs. John Aksentowitz of LIncoln and Mrs. Marlin Bahe of Geneva; a sister, Mrs. Nicholas Weber of Geneva; four brothers, Henry, Herman, William and Frank, all of Geneva; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 30, at St. Joseph Church in Geneva, with Rev. Paul Ulenberg officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery.
