Description	:	Joseph Konvalin, one of nine children, was born to James Konvalin and Mary Martinek Konvalin Nov. 2, 1899, in Omaha. He attended Omaha Triner School through the eighth grade. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the American Legion, Superior, at the time of his death. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Webber. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the American Legion, Superior, at the time of his death. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Webber. Nov. 2, 1937, he was married to Ruth Hansen. They lived the early years of their married life in Kennard, moving to Superior in 1945. He was employed as a foreman for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad for many years. After his retirement they moved to Webber on 1970. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ruth, on March 12, 1985, an infant daughter, three brothers, Joseph, James and Frank Konvalin, and four sisters, Ann Svoboda, Mamie Rebal, Julia Slone and Emma Ammon. He is survived by his three sons, the Rev. Ted Konvalin of Nebraska City, John Konvalin of Kittitas, Wash., and Ron Konvalin, Webber; one daughter, Mrs. Hillard Johnson (Connie), Courtland, Minn.; his twin sister, Rose Christensen, Omaha; 15 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives. The funeral was Wednesday, Jan. 29, at 2:00 p.m. from the United Methodist Church, Webber, with Rev Elton Hunter officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery.
