KINSLEY Amaranth township lost one of its oldest and much respected residents on December 18th, in the passing of Mr. Joseph J. Kinsley, at his home. He was born in Mono township on Dec. 6th, 1863 and moved to Amaranth township about 1884. He was married to the late Jane Rintoul in March 1893, who predeceased him twenty-two years ago. He was a staunch member and elder of Whittington United Church and an active worker in Sunday School as long as his health permitted. He leaves to mourn his loss, one daughter, Mrs. William J. Farnell (Annie), of Shelburne, and two sons, Herb., of Crombie Station, and Wilmer, of Toronto; five grand-children and one great-grand-child. The funeral was held from the Phoenix Funeral Home, Shelburne, on December 20th, interment taking place in Shelburne Mortuary, with Rev. W. Burgess, of Camilla, officiating. The pallbearers were six nephews: Messrs. Russell, Grenville and Roy Kinsley, Gordon and Nelson Rintoul and Ernest Horner. The floral tributes were: Pillow, the family; wreath, grandchildren; sprays, Mr. and Mrs. James Rintoul and Mr. and Mrs. Morton Rintoul, Gordon Rintoul, Mrs. David Rintoul, Gladys and Jim Buchanan, Nathaniel Kinsley and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dave Kinsley and family, Mr. and Mrs. George Kinsley and Roy, Mr. and Mrs. John McDonald, of Toronto; Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Horner and Mr. and Mrs. Dave Horner, Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Sproule and Lydia, Mr. and Mrs. Murray Farnell and family, the Corcoran family, Toronto. The flower bearers were all relatives of the deceased. Relatives from Orangeville, Caledon, Toronto, Bolton and London, were present for the funeral, which was largely attended by friends and neighbors.
