He was born April 16, 1920 in Cleveland, the son of Joseph and Matilda (Stibi) Kray. He had lived in the North Kingsville and Kingsville area for over 50 years and was the retired owner of Kray Feed Company. Read More	Joe Kray NORTH KINGSVILLE – Joe Kray, 85, of Maple Street, died Thursday, March 9, 2006 at the Ashtabula County Medical Center. He was born April 16, 1920 in Cleveland, the son of Joseph and Matilda (Stibi) Kray. He had lived in the North Kingsville and Kingsville area for over 50 years and was the retired owner of Kray Feed Company. For the past 20 years, he and his wife had wintered in Florida where he was the “Mr. Fix-it” of the trailer park. An Air Force veteran of World War II, he flew over 50 combat missions as a flight engineer. He also served as a top turret gunner in a B17 while stationed in Africa. He was the past commander of American Legion Neal Post #743, North Kingsville and the last surviving member of the 40/8 organization. He served as an elder at Kingsville Presbyterian Church, was a former member of the Kingsville Volunteer Fire Department, and served as a North Kingsville police officer. He loved his family, his glass collection, and his flower garden, appointing himself to chairman of the “North Kingsville Beautification Committee”. His survivors include his wife of 62 years, Donna (Burkhart) Kray, whom he married March 2, 1944; his children, David (Barbara) Kray of Kingsville, Mary (Larry) Herl of Platea, PA , and Nancy Kray and Steve (Tina) Kray, both of North Kingsville; 10 grandchildren Julie (Paul) Cook of Kingsville, David II (Chris) Kray of Kingsville, Matthew Herl of Mississippi, Joe (Sabrina) Herl of Girard, Pamela (Kyle) Glasl of Albion, Valerie (Shawn) Johnson, West Springfield, Rory (Michelle) Marshall of Jefferson, Tammy (John) Andrew of North Kingsville, Timothy (Julie) Cusano of North Kingsville and Steven (Nicole) Kray of North Kingsville; 10 great-grandchildren, Todd Cook, Erin Cook, Ryan Marshall, Ryan Platz, J.T. Andrew, Jarrod Glasl, Parker Herl, Lucas Johnson, Nathan Johnson, and Hunter Cusano; two step-grandchildren, Cooper and Conner Cleveland; two little ones in his heart to be born in April; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four sisters, Theresa Brenner, Adele Clark, Hermina “Min” McCloud, and Mary Kray; two brothers, Frank and Steven Kray; and his parents. Services will be held 11 AM Monday, March 13, 2006 at the Kingsville Presbyterian Church, 3056 West Main Street, Kingsville. Rev. Bonnie Hebbersett, Pastor will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, North Kingsville where full military honors will be conducted by the Kingsville American Legion, Neal Post #743. Calling hours will be 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, March 12 at Zaback-Ducro Funeral Home, 500 West Prospect Road, Ashtabula. Contributions may be made to the Kingsville Presbyterian Church.
