Pallbearers were six grandsons, Robert Krebsbach, Larry Kresbach, Robert Herbek, Eugene Herbek, Gilbert Himmelberg, Maurice Himmelberg. Joe Krebsbach, son of Stephen and Gertrude (Happe) Krebsbach was born Febr. 18, 1883 at Crete, Nebr. and died June 2, 1975 at Blue Hill, Nebr. at the age of 92 years, 3 mon. and 15 days. At the age of 3 years he moved with his parents to this community. He was united in marriage to Mary Grabenschroer, Oct. 25, 1904. They lived on a farm near Lawrence until 1946 when they moved to Lawrence where he purchased a tavern and operated Joe's Place until about 1962 when failing health made him retire from active work. Five years ago, when he was in need of constant nursing care he went to make his home at Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Blue Hill. He was a life time member of the Catholic Church and was always interested in all church and community affairs. Being in public business for many years he made many acquaintances and friends. He is survived by his wife Mary; four sons, Wilfred of Pauline, George of Taft, Calif., Victor of Dallas, Texas, and Ralph of Lawrence, six daughters Mrs. Carl (Josephine) Grueb of Sacramento, Calif., Mrs. Henry (Irene) Himmelberg, Mrs.Joe (Stephane) Bolte of Lawrence, Sister Kathleen (Genevive) Krebsbach of Ottumwa, Iowa, Mrs. Herbert(Helena) Oye of Three Rivers, Mich., Mrs. Frank (Mary Laverne) Herbek of Deweese. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren and a sister Mrs. John Beyke of Lawrence.
