Description	:	Joseph married Mary Redegeld on Aug. 25, 1871 in Hoerd, Germany. They were the parents of Joseph, William, Anton, Mary, John, and Tena. Feb 20, 1930 - Carroll Daily Herald - Joseph Wiederhold, Sr. died last evening in St. Anthony hospital at 8:30 following a fall from which he sustained a broken hip. He was removed to the hospital shortly after the accident occurred but being over 87 years of age the shock proved too great for his frail system to with stand. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock in Ss. Peter and Paul's church, the Rev. Father L. Schenkelberg officiating and burial will be made in the parish cemetery. Joseph Wiederhold was born in Neuenheuse, Germany, Mar. 12, 1842 and grew to manhood in his native country. He was married in 1871 to Miss Mary Redegeld at Hoerd, Germany, and in that country three children were born to the couple: Joseph M. Wiederhold, William Wiederhold and Anton J. Wiederhold of Carroll. Leaving their native home they came to the United States with their children and settled at Carroll, where Mr. Weiderhold followed his occupation as a stone mason. Three other children were born in America, Mrs. Eugene Booth (Mary), John who died in infancy, and Mrs. J.B. Collison (Tena). Mrs. Wiederhold died about 5 years ago and since that time Mr. Wiederhold has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Collison, where the body will lie in state until the funeral Saturday. Besides his children Mr. Wiederhold is survived: by 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. All his life he had enjoyed excellent health and had not been ill until his fall, which occurred in the home of his daughter Monday. He was a member of the Holy Name society and of Ss. Peter and Paul's church and was a devout catholic.
