The services were conducted by Rev. Aloysius Jarzemski. Interment was made in the St. Francis cemetery. The pallbearers were Clarence Pray, John Maciejewski, Lonnie Maciejewski, Anton Jankowski, Edmund Maciejewski and Gregory Maciejewski. Joseph Marczynski died Wednesday morning, December 31, at the home of his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. John Maciejewski, with whom he made his home since returning from an Omaha hospital about 5 months ago. Joseph Marczynski died Wednesday morning, December 31, at the home of his brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. John Maciejewski, with whom he made his home since returning from an Omaha hospital about 5 months ago. He was ill for the past year with cancer of the stomach. He was 70 years, 9 mo. and 15 days of age. Joseph Marczynski was born March 16, 1871 to Joseph and Josephine Marczynski in Poland. He came to America with his parents when he was still a baby. They settled in Calumet, Michigan and resided there for six years and then came to Nebraska to a farm east of Ashton. He moved to town with his parents about 25 years ago and resided here ever since. He was preceeded [sic] in death by his parents, a brother, Frank; two sisters, Mrs. Anthonette Zeweski, and Mrs. Mary Rozmiarek. Four brothers died in infancy. Those surviving are: three sisters, Mrs. John Maciejewski of Ashton, Mrs. Thomas Golus (Galus) of Omaha, and Mrs. Gertrude Golus of Omaha, and Mrs. Gertrude Richards of San Francisco, Calif.
