Description	:	JOSEPH VOPAT, DEAD IN OMAHA, KNOWN HERE Friends of Mrs. Joseph Vopat, formerly Miss Dorothy Moomau of this city, were shocked to learn on Tuesday of the sudden death of her husband in an Omaha hospital, following an attack of Spanish influenza. Mr. Vopat had many friends in this city, he having been a highly valued employee of the Union Pacific railroad with headquarters here for several years before going to Omaha to make his home. Too add to the tragedy of the case, Mrs. Vopat was ill at the time of her husband's death, she having about a week ago given birth to a son, Joseph Vopat, Jr. Wyoming State Tribune -- December 11, 1918. -- and -- VOPAT Joe Vopat, for six years chief clerk to Division Engineer A. R. Jordon in Cheyenne, passed away, death being due to influenza the first of the week at Omaha. Word to this effecy reached Cheyenne yesterday afternoon by wire. Mr. Vopat left Cheyenne about a year ago to accept a place in the office of the engineer of maintenance of way at headquarters Omaha, having been promoted to that position in recognition of his services here.
