Description	:	Funeral services today at Elim J.N. Parrott, a well known and highly respected citizen and Confederate veteran of Florence county, died at 10 o'clock Saturday morning at this home in the Elim section. The funeral services will be held at Elim Methodist church at 11 o'clock this morning and the body will be placed at rest in the Lawrence family burying ground. Mr. Parrott was approaching four score years of age. He had been in failing health for some time and his death was not unexpected. Mr. Parrott was approaching four score years of age. He had been in failing health for some time and his death was not unexpected. His friends throughout this section will be grieved to learn of his death. Mr. Parrott was a native of Darlington county but moved to Florence about 20 years ago. Most of his life had been spent in farming. At one time he served as a member of the legislature and he was also a member of the constitutional convention of 1895. Mr. Parrott was one of the most public spirited citizens of the county and always took an active interest in the affairs of the county, state and nation. He leaves a widow who was Miss Mary Ellen Lawrence, and the following sons and daughters: George Parrott, of Orlando, Texas, Mrs. J. Rob Lawrence of Florence, Misses Ruth and Vivian Parrott, Messrs.
