Miss Parrott was born April 28, 1896, in Darlington County, a daughter of the later J.N. and Mary Ellen Lawrence Parrott. She had lived in Florence County most of her life and had taught school in both Florence and Darlington counties a number of years. She was a member of the Elim Methodist Church and WSCS of the church. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. J.R. (Hattie Parrott) Lawrence of Elim; two brothers, M.J. Parrott of Salters and L.A. Parrott of Effingham; also several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the home of the Mrs. J.R. Lawrence at Elim. The body will remain at Stoudenmire Funeral Home and will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the services.
