Read More	Suggested edit: Joseph Danielson, the son of Gust and Mathilda Johnson Danielson was born at Gowrie, Iowa on December 8, 1893, the one of twin boys. He died at Aurora, Nebraska on July 2, 1976 at the age of 82 years, 6 months and 24 days. Although he had not been in the best of health the past few years, his passing came after a short illness. In 1903 the family came to Hamilton County, where they farmed northwest of Aurora. He received his education in the rural school near his parents home. During World War I he served in the United States Army until his discharge on December 10, 1918. He then returned to Hamilton County, where he farmed for many years. On September 12, 1930 he was united in marriage to Viola Guilford at Mankato, Kansas. They farmed near Aurora until 1960 when they retired and moved to their present home in Aurora. Mrs. Danielson had been a member of the United Methodist Church, and was active in his attendance as long as his health permitted. He was also a member of the Lester S. Harter Post No. 42 of the American Legion and the World War I Barracks. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Arner, his twin brother, Dave, Gust and an infant brother, Eberhard; three sisters, Mrs. Hilma Anderson, Mrs. Lydia Weedin and Mrs. Esther Blixt. His survivors include his wife, Viola; son, Derly of Aurora; daughters, Mrs. Joan Moore of Aurora and Mrs. Lois Friesen of Waverly; sisters, Miss Olga Danielson of Aurora, Mrs. Oblomete Bixby of Santa Barbara, California and Mrs. Beda McGrail of Lincoln; 12 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and other relatives and many close friends.
