Olivet Cemetery with military honors by Maurice Dunn Post No. 7, American Legion. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Friday at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll. A memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Friday by Carroll Elk's Lodge No. 1637 will be followed by a rosary at 8. Mr. Frank established the Joe P. Frank Plumbing and Heating firm here in 1930 and operated it as such until 1965 when he formed a partnership with his son, Robert. The business has been operated since then as Joe P. Frank and Son Plumbing and Heating. Mr. Frank served on the Carroll Park Commission for 12 years. A son of George and Catherine Neu Frank, he was born at Carroll March 9, 1895. He spent his early years here and started work as a young man for the late William Wiedemeyer in the plumbing and heating business. On Sept. 17, 1917 he enlisted in the United States Air Force and was discharged Jan. 21, 1919 at Lake Charles, La., with the rank of corporal. On June 22, 1920 he married Susan Meyers at St. Mary's Church in Willey and they have made their home in Carroll. The Frank home is at 1508 North Adams Street. Mr. Frank was a member of St. Lawrence Church, the American Legion, a charter member of the Elk's Lodge, and a member of both the Charles Carroll Council and Fourth Degree Assembly of the Knights of Columbus. Surviving with his wife are three children, Mrs. Louise Buck of Ogden; Sr. Mary Rose (Dorothy) of Culiacian, Mexico; and Robert of Carroll; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; three brothers: George of Coon Rapids, Conrad of San Jose, Calif., and John of Carroll; and two sisters: Mrs. Anna Smith and Mrs. Mary Conley both of Carroll. An infant son, two brothers, and two sisters preceded Mr. Frank in death.
