Description	:	Joseph Myers Joseph Randolph "Joe" Myers, 78, a resident of Annapolis since 1947, died Aug. 15 at University Hospital in Baltimore after a brief illness. One of 13 children, Mr. Myers was born Dec. 12, 1921, in Luray, Va., and lived in Madison, Va. He served in the Army in World War II in England, France and Belgium. Read More	Joseph Myers Joseph Randolph "Joe" Myers, 78, a resident of Annapolis since 1947, died Aug. 15 at University Hospital in Baltimore after a brief illness. One of 13 children, Mr. Myers was born Dec. 12, 1921, in Luray, Va., and lived in Madison, Va. He served in the Army in World War II in England, France and Belgium. He worked as a welder and rigger at the former Naval Experimental Station until retiring in 1963 from disabilities. Later he was a concrete contractor in the development of Cape St. Claire. He attended St. Andrew's United Methodist Church and was a member of American Legion Post 7 and Moose Lodge 296. His interests included hunting, fishing, boating, building boats, gardening and raising cattle on the family farm in Virginia. In 1942 he was married to Mary Frances Aylor Myers, who died Aug. 14, 1999. Surviving are four daughters, Hilda F. Whittington of Davidsonville, Dorothy M. Bull of Edgewater, Fay E. Butcher of Madison and Teresa C. Foster of Severn; one brother, John Myers of Banco, Va.; eight grandchildren; and five greatgrandchildren. Friends may call from 6 to 9 tonight at Hardesty Funeral Home, 12 Ridgely Ave., where services will begin at 8:30 p.m. Friends also may call from 3 to 6 p.m. tomorrow and 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Preddy Funeral Home, Route 230 west of Route 29, in Madison, where services will be at 1 a.m. Saturday. Burial will be in Oak Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery in Aylor, Va. Memorial contributions may be made to Myers Little Rock Church, in care of Fay Butcher, HCR 2, Box 7, Madison, VA 22727.
