Maxson and Dorothy M. (Pauley) Maxson. On June 7, 2014 in Monticello, IN, he married Vickie Cauble; she survives. "Joe" Maxson, 60, died on September 13, 2019 at his Monticello home with family by his side. He was born on September 20, 1958 in Monticello, IN to Charles J. Maxson and Dorothy M. (Pauley) Maxson. On June 7, 2014 in Monticello, IN, he married Vickie Cauble; she survives. Joe had lived in the Monticello area all of his life and attended Twin Lakes High School. He was a volunteer fireman for the Monticello Fire Department for over thirty years, retired as a Captain, had served as the Animal Control Officer for both White County and Monticello City Departments, and also worked for the Monticello Street Department and had worked there until his health failed. Joe loved and enjoyed fishing, go-cart racing, and had a degree with working on small engines. He had also served as a Reserved Deputy Sheriff for the White County Sheriff Department. Most of all, Joe, loved his kids, grandkids and spending as much time as possible with all his family. He is survived by his wife; mother; two children; ten grandchildren; two stepsons; two sisters; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends. Joseph was preceded in death by his father. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Miller-Roscka Funeral Home. Rev. Jason Metzinger of Pike Creek Church of the Brethren will officiate the funeral service. Burial with full military honors will take place in IOOF Riverview Cemetery.
