Description	:	Joseph was the son of John Rogers Jr. and Martha Clayton. He married Susannah Borden. He was a farmer and tailor, and lived on a farm on the easterly side of Assunpink Creek in old Windsor Township, Middlesex Co., NJ--the creek separating it from his father's homestead. According to Charles R. Hutchinson, he drowned while trying to cross the Assunpink on a log, in time of a freshet, on the way to the house of his brother Isaac. Read More	Joseph was the son of John Rogers Jr. and Martha Clayton. He married Susannah Borden. He was a farmer and tailor, and lived on a farm on the easterly side of Assunpink Creek in old Windsor Township, Middlesex Co., NJ--the creek separating it from his father's homestead. Note: Joseph's brother, John Rogers III, in his 1792 will, directed the completion of the stone wall around his burying ground. It seems likely that other Rogers family members were buried here besides John III and his wife (who left no surviving children). This possibly includes Joseph and Susannah (Borden) Rogers, who lived in Windsor Twp. There is no documentation of a gravestone here for either of them, however.
