Spielhagen, Robert Dreibus, Ron Tichacek, James Sobota and Dr. Joseph E. Sobota. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery in Omaha. Mr. Benesch enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1917. At the end of World War I he attended the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Chicago University and received his law degree from Creighton University in Omaha in 1943. He was married to Adaline Tichacek of Linwood. He served in the Nebraska Legislature in 1943-47. While in the Unicameral he introduced 36 bills, all of which were passed. One of these bills was the White Cane law that bears his name and is for the benefit of the blind. He was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Anthony of Padua Council, Schuyler, past Grand Knight, 1933-35, past Commander and 25-year member of the 40 and 8, and Commander of American Legion Post 47, Schuyler, in 1939. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. James L. (Rita) Glass of Omaha; a brother, Louis E. Benesch of Evergreen Park, Ill.; two grandchildren, several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife in 1985.
