Ong Joseph Willett Ong was born September 2, 1872 at Lacon, Illinois and died at Hastings, Nebraska, September 27, 1935 at the age of 63 years and 25 days. He was united in marriage to Mable Ward on August 10, 1915 at Lincoln, Nebraska, and they resided in Edgar all of their married lives. He leaves to mourn his departure, his beloved wife, one brother, Murry of Seattle, Washington, a cousin, Mrs. Walter Dawson of Lincoln, Nebraska, besides other relatives and a host of friends. He was a kind and devoted husband and a good neighbor. The large number which attended the funeral bespoke of his friendliness and those who visited in his home, and others who knew him best were the ones who realized and appreciated his devotion as a friend. Funeral services were held on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. at the home, Rev T. S. Hughes officiated. Mrs. E. J. Mort and Mrs. E. F. Hart furnished the music. The pall bearers were; Ferd Schnitker, Chas.
